Traditional Recycling

The Miami County Recycling District offers many locations throughout the county for drop off of

Steel/ Aluminum Cans, Flattened Cardboard, FOOD GRADE Glass, Paper, and Plastics 1 & 2.

All drop off sites are for these items and  these items ONLY.

Despite good intentions, nearly 1/3 of recyclables end up in the landfill due to food or hazardous waste contamination. The traditional recycling bins look like the one pictured above.

Traditional Recycling Bins

These sites are  "single stream"  which means there is no sorting of recyclable materials required. As long as the items meet the guidelines you can drop off at any of these locations.
