Paying your 2026 Recycling (Solid Waste) Fee

 Beginning in 2026, the annual Miami County Recycling (Solid Waste) fee will be included on your spring property tax bill. The fee amount will remain the same and appear as a separate line item on your tax statement. This change only affects how the fee is billed and paid, it does not impact recycling (solid waste) services.

 The Miami County Solid Waste Fee is due concurrently with the spring property tax installment. If payment is not received within 30 days of the due date, a $25.00 late fee will be applied.

By Mail

 If you are sending your payment by mail and want to ensure it meets the due date, you should go inside a USPS location and have your envelope hand-stamped by a postal clerk. We are required to use the postmark date to verify timely payments and cannot waive late fees if the stamped date is after the installment due date.

Credit card payments are optional and processed through PayTRUST Solutions, Inc. A convenience fee will be added to your total.

A $20 fee will be charged for:

Closed accounts

Returned checks due to non-sufficient funds (NSF)

 The Miami County Recycling (Solid Waste) fee for 2022-2025 was billed directly to residents. The payment options listed here are only available for balances from those years.

By Mail 

Make your check or money order payable to “Miami County Solid Waste,” and be sure to write your account number in the memo line so your payment is applied correctly.

If you’re mailing your payment close to the deadline, consider taking it directly to a USPS office and asking a clerk to hand-stamp the envelope. We must rely on the postmark to confirm on-time payments, and late fees cannot be removed if the stamped date falls after the due date.
