The Mission of the Miami County Recycling District is to implement and provide source reduction and recycling programs that will reduce the amount of solid waste disposed of in landfills, encourage recycling efforts, provide guidance for waste stream reduction, and increase awareness of proper hazardous waste disposal.
Illegal dumping at the recycling drop off bin sites is an ongoing problem. There are signs on all the bins that have color pictures of EXACTLY what is supposed to be dropped off. If your item is not on the picture, don't leave it at the bin. The District offers many programs to help you manage your difficult items. Don't risk losing your favorite drop off site-keep it clean! #RecycleRight!
The 2021 yearly recycling assessment bills will be mailed out the week of April 5th. All bills are mailed out at the same time. If you have more than one property and did not receive a bill for every property you own, it is YOUR responsibility to let the District know. All bills are due on May 31, but since this falls on a weekend, the bills will be due June 1, 2021.
We love our county residents, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
