Bring your old fluorescent bulbs to the District for proper disposal.
DO NOT TAPE FLUORESCENT TUBES TOGETHER!
Bulbs can be wrapped in an old blanket or towel for transportation to the District.
The District accepts old alkaline batteries. Please separate them from rechargeable batteries and the button style batteries when you bring them to us.
Drop off your old rechargeable batteries here at the District for proper disposal. We accept portable tool batteries, car batteries, children's toy batteries, and rechargeable AA, AAA, C, and D batteries. The District will help you properly dispose of your old "button" style batteries (hearing aid, watch, car remote, etc.) as well. Please separate batteries before dropping them off.
Our newest program? Smoke Detector Disposal! Bring in your old smoke detectors to the District for proper disposal. Please do not disassemble smoke detectors.
The District can help you respectfully retire and dispose of your old worn out flag. We are a collection location for the "Stars for our Troops" program. This organization takes old flags, cleans them and then trims the stars from the flags. The stars are then given to active duty, veterans, law enforcement and first responders. The remainder of the flags are then retired at a flag retirement ceremony.
We have several different education presentations available for your group, meeting, club, or gathering. There are presentations for all ages, from pre-k through adult. Presentations can be in person or via ZOOM. Call the District to schedule your session today!
